Ok, so i'm gonna be honest here... This following video gave me some major chills and it even made me cry just a little bit.

Lyrics-
It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.
Yes we can.
It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom.
Yes we can.
It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.
It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.
Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.
We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change.
We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics...they will only grow louder and more dissonant ... We've been asked to pause for a reality check. We've been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.
But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea --
So, a few years ago I went to go see Regina Spektor in concert and she had two opening acts. The first act sucked. I don't even remember his name to be honest.. So when the second opening act came up, everyone in the audience was kind of on edge because of the first shitty opener. Well, the second act took the stage and they were setting up all of these crazy instruments and everyone in the audience was very confused until they began to play.

I swear to you. I fell in love right then and there. This bands name was DeVotchKa and they are godly. I dunno if any of you saw the movie Little Miss Sunshine, but (aside from being an amazing movie) DeVotchKa did the entire soundtrack to that movie.

They also had one of their songs featured on a commercial for that game Gears Of War. The lead singer took out a giant bottle of wine at the begining of the set, and by the end of the set he had drank the entire bottle. He chugged the wine in-between songs haha.

The tuba player (yes, they have a tuba player) had christmas lights going around the inside of her tuba so when she hit her first note, the tuba lit up like a christmas tree. They would switch up instruments during songs. They are all very talented and it amazes me haha

That song is one of my favorites because when they played this song the entire audience was kicking and dancing like crazy people. It was soo much fun haha
Alright, I guess i'll leave you with the youtube video of the moment
Even when they're stranded on a small desert island with no place in 2000 miles to buy beer. I wonder is he different is he different has he changed what he's about. Or is he just the lie with nothing to lie about?

Beneath the good, the kind, the stupid and the cruel.... There's a fire just waiting for fuel.
So, I'm sick. I don't know what I have, but it started as a sore throat, then i got all congested, and now I feel like my head is stuffed with shit. My nose is runny, my throat is scratchy, my head is achy. Oh, life sucks right now haha.
The worst part is that I have work tonight. I've been working every single day. My only day off last week was x-mas eve and this week my only day off is new years day. I've definitely been sick as a dog the past 3 days, but I just keep working. I don't give a fuck. I shouldn't be serving people food in this condition, but the managers don't give a crap.
So I don't know why but lately I've been listening to a lot of rap and hip hop and reggaeton (I blame Jackie for the reggaeton). I feel like my music taste changes with the seasons. I can be listening to System of a Down, Korn, Linkin Park, and Senses Fail... Then a week later i'm listening to Jay-Z, T.I., and Kanye West. I've also been listening to an unusual amount of techno. Also of course, we cannot forget my absolute love for artists like Rufus Wainwright, Paolo Nutini, Feist, Regina Spektor, Mika, etc... I'm a weird mother-fucker.
But anywho. I'm also one of those people who will become OBSESSED with one song or artist and listen to them over and over and over until i'm sick of them and never wanna hear it again. Right now that artist is Kanye West. People, I'm fucking in love with this man right now. His new album 808's and Heartbreak is so ridiculously good.
Ken introduced me to one of the songs off of the album and I hate him for it because now I cant stop listening to it...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUTq3tHg1eA "Street Lights" is the name of that song. It's so simple, but addicting.
I've noticed that lately I'm all about the simple songs with the ridiculously good beats.
Like, that new song "Move" by Mims... I personally thought "This is Why I'm Hot" was a stupid one hit wonder, but I think this song redeemed mims...

I'm so dope boy fresh!
So anyway...
I love that song by T.I. "Whatever You Like" but ever since Jackie played a remix of it featuring yomo, everytime I hear the original version, i'm dissapointed.
This version makes the original version sound pathetic

I actually cannot listen to the original song because this version is so much better haha.
Okay This post is kind of dragging on. I guess i'm done rambling now.
youtube video of the moment!
